A unique New Make, distilled from malted barley originating from Groningen. This barley, exclusively grown by local farmers, has an excellent reputation and is used as a base in many Scottish whiskies. The spirit is distilled in the copper stills of Hooghoudt, located at ‘De Graanrepubliek’ in Bad Nieuweschans, The Netherlands.
By aging this New Make in the 10-liter New Oak oak cask, the liquid acquires flavor notes of caramel, vanilla, and dried fruit. The characteristic wood tones also come to the forefront. After a maturation period of 3 years and 1 day in the cask, you may officially call this Whisky.
